Ducktales Returns in 2017

Disney XD has orderd a reboot of Ducktales to air in 2017. Ducktales originally aired from 1987 to 1990 in the syndicated Disney Afternoon cartoon block. It follows Scrooge McDuck and his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. The reboot will add Donald, and a host of returning characters from the original including Launchpad McQuack, whom had went on to be in Darkwing Duck as DW’s sidekick.

Star Wars Weekends Update 2015

A few details are out about this year’s Star Wars Weekends, though no major announcements yet. Every weekend from May 15 to June 14 will have Star Wars maing the jump to lightspeed to Hollywood Studios featuring guest and character appearances, special shows, autographs, and more. The only thing bigger to drop into the Star Wars universe is to go to one of the Star Wars Celebration conventions which migrate around the world. As a side note, there is one this year in Anahiem in April not to fa from Disneyland. Anyway back to what we know on the Weekends.

Richard Petty Driving Experience And Exotic Driving Experience Closing

Disney announced yesterday that the Richard Petty Driving Experience and the Exotic Driving Experience over at the Walt Disney World Motor Speedway will close in late June (expected to be June 28) to make way for transportation improvements. The speedway itself will most like be demolished shortly after the experiences close. No exact word as to what transportation changes are in the works. Richard Petty Holdings plans to look for another location in the Orlando area.

Sony and Marvel Deal For Spidey

Sony Motion Pictures signed a deal with Marvel Studios that the new Spider-Man will appear in Marvel Cinimatic Universe (MCU) first. Afterwards, Sony will release the next installment of the Spider-Man franchise on July 28, 2017, in a film co-produced by both Kevin Faige and his team from Marvel as well as Amy Pascal, who oversaw the launch for Sony back 13 years ago. The studios will henceworth collaborate on a new creative direction for our Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, however, Sony will have final say, distribution, financing, and ownership.
