The Grid Powered Down

The follow-up to Tron: Legacy has been canceled by Disney. Early work began just prior to Tron: Legacy hitting the big screen but never got a speed push by the mouse. It’s said that the project was to start up in the fall with Joseph Kosinski returning to direct. Also rumored was Disney wanted to bring in Jared Leto to a role, but no offer had been made. To note Disney had yet to green light the project, also to note it took years to get Tron: Legacy after Tron, so one day Tron 3 may eventually come out. Some speculation around the web is this was done in response to the recent release of Tomorrowland, but no one at Disny has confirmed that is the case.
