PhotoPass+ Being Replaced

MagicBand Ready To Go

Starting today PhotoPass+ tis but a memory.  In a move to link the PhotoPass photo system with MyMagic+, Disney is replacing PhotoPass+ with Memory Maker, which combines several PhotoPass services under one banner all tied to to your MagicBand and 100% digital.  Using the My Disney Experience website or App will allow anyone linked to the My Disney Experience account to view photos the day the photo was taken and allow them to be downloaded as many times as you want up to the 45 day expiration date.  Memory Maker can be purchased ahead of time online or by phone.  They can also be purchased from any PhotoPass Location at Walt Disney World (the ones you can get prints, not the photographer locations).  Pricing is to be announced, but I’d imagine it will be near the  $169 PhotoPass Archive Disc (the newer name for the PhotoPass+ Disc).  Might be less if they skip the gallery disc out of the package.

As I’ll be activating a PhotoPass+ this weekend, it’ll be interesting if they go with the lanyard or just have me use my MagicBand.
